About the event

The Te Rau Aroha Alignment Level 1 Certification is an 8-day online course followed by a 2-day in-person workshop held at The Life Centre in Ponsonby, Auckland. The online course starts on August 18, 2023, and is conducted through Zoom lessons. Participants will also have access to our Te Rau Aroha online classroom Facebook Page.

During the Level 1 Certification, you will learn the tikanga/protocols for identifying and harvesting kawakawa. Additionally, you will gain in-depth knowledge on how to use kawakawa (piper excelsum) for healing while working with the hinengaro/mind space and the three manawa/heart spaces. There are no prerequisites for this level, and you can begin the course even if you have minimal knowledge of working with Kawakawa. The course is delivered over 8 days online and in-person during a 2-day workshop in Auckland.

Who can benefit from this course?

This course is ideal for those who wish to expand their knowledge of working with kawakawa and want to learn how to apply it in practice. If you have a strong desire to enhance your learning through the use of kawakawa to facilitate healing, then this course will provide the necessary support.

It is suitable for those who wish to explore working with kawakawa and have a connection with this plant and want to learn more about it on a deeper level through self-healing. This course is even beneficial for people who live in another country and have a connection with native plants in their own country. There will always be a plant that you can connect with. Thus, this course is designed to cater to you as well.
